Distributed Systems Engineer SMTS/LMTS

## Responsibilities - Drive the design and delivery of large-scale, distributed systems within Salesforce’s Security ecosystem. - Build scalable, reliable, and secure backend services. - Own complex initiatives end-to-end, influencing architectural decisions. - Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-impact solutions at global scale. - Lead the development of Security Mesh, a new Salesforce product that connects and analyzes security signals across multiple systems and platforms. - Enable detection of complex threats, such as impossible logins occurring simultaneously across non-Salesforce applications, indicating potential account compromise. - Surface insights through Security Center and deliver them proactively via Agentforce. ## Requirements - AI-first mindset: Strong orientation toward leveraging AI-driven tools, automation, and intelligent workflows to improve developer productivity, system capabilities, and overall product value. - Adaptable and results-driven: Comfortable working in a fast-evolving environment built on Salesforce Core and dependent on multiple teams (Data Cloud, Tableau Next, ATF, etc.). - Strong collaboration skills: A proactive team player who engages across teams to drive solutions and improvements. - Ownership and leadership: Takes full ownership of features end-to-end and actively contributes to design and architectural decisions. ## Nice to Have - Experience with distributed systems and large-scale architecture. - Familiarity with AI and machine learning in security contexts. - Experience with Salesforce Core and integration with other platforms. ## Benefits - Competitive salary range: $148,500 - $223,900 annually. - Additional compensation in select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area. - Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, mental health support, paid parental leave, life and disability insurance, 401(k), and an employee stock purchasing program. - Equal opportunity employer with a commitment to diversity and inclusion. - Opportunities for career growth and professional development. - Access to AI-driven tools and resources to enhance productivity and impact.
