Develops and manages efficient acquisition systems for items managed by Materials Handling; Develops and maintains systems to assure accuracy of perpetual inventory counts and locator systems; Develops and maintains reorder management systems (par levels, min/max parameters); Develops materials cost and inventory reduction programs; Conducts year-end physical inventory and periodic counts; Accurately counts and distributes supplies including clean linen; Ascertains daily order requirements; Places orders for needed items; Coordinates special deliveries and borrowing from other hospitals; Maintains proficiency in Lawson/Crystal and coordinates with Application System Analyst; Assists in training other personnel with inventory management and Lawson functions.
