Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day case management of patients being treated for active and/or latent tuberculosis, Complete accurate and complete medical record documentation as well as submission of local, state, and/or federal TB control-related forms, Collects all labs, including blood, sputa, urine as well as processing and reviewing results, Provides oversight of Directly Observed Therapy (DOT), Directly Observed Preventive Therapy (DOPT), and refill activities, Knowledge of and ongoing education on tuberculosis infection, disease, and medications, including the epidemiological process and frequent comorbidities, Skillfully interact and communicate with patients and their families to enhance education of the disease process and motivation to ensure compliance with the plan of care
