The Opportunity

Are you keen to give farming a go, or maybe you have some farming experience, and you are looking for some casual work.

We are looking for someone to start asap, to cover some leave on farm, and in the long run you may be happy to help on farm from time to time.  You’ll get out and do general farm duties like milking, calf-rearing, fencing, spraying weeds. You will have a supportive team environment and training provided.

We are a high-performing team, with a good atmosphere, we enjoy a good laugh and know when to get out and get the work done. 

We also have a robust health and safety regime at Pāmu, and have well maintained, up to date farm equipment.

This is a drive-in, drive out role, so you will need reliable transport.

About You

You are a team player who will bring a positive attitude to our team. 

Ideally you will have:

•               At least one season of dairy experience (or you’ll be a quick learner – ready to give it a go)

•               An exceptional attitude to health and safety and animal welfare

•               A good eye for detail and a willingness to learn

•               Restricted or full driver’s licence

The Farm

Souters Dairy Farm is a well-managed operation within our Weka Complex on the West Coast, known for its structured systems and established processes.

Located just ten minutes from Lake Brunner and thirty minutes from Greymouth, this 483-hectare property milks 840 cows through a modern 50-bail rotary shed equipped with automatic cup removers (ACRs) and an in-shed feeding system.
