Responsibilities
Provide technical oversight of program-wide avionics functions and design; Coordinate and plan tasks with Avionics Team to meet program development plan and schedule; Collaborate with the Office Chief Engineer to provide Avionics support on EVA system; Provide mentorship to engineering staff as part of the Power Avionics and Controls team; Manage the overall avionics architecture and drive sound technical decision making; Participate in all aspects of avionics development from design to certification and flight; Design spaceflight rated PCBs for critical life support systems; Design instruments including FPGAs, microprocessors, power, and analog components; Build and test prototype and spaceflight hardware; Prepare documentation for design reviews, manufacturing, assembly, and testing
