Responsibilities
Lead mechanical development of ECU headers and connector interfaces for power, high-speed signals, communication, RF, and I/O; Own mechanical design from concept to production release including housings, terminals, bus bars, and seals; Define connector terminal architectures and bus bar solutions; Select and specify materials based on performance and environmental needs; Develop sealing strategies for connector-to-housing interfaces; Create and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D drawings; Apply GD&T and tolerance analysis; Coordinate with electrical engineers and PCB designers on pinout constraints and mounting; Support EMI-aware integration; Execute design verification plans including prototype builds; Lead DFM/DFx reviews with suppliers; Manage Teamcenter content and release documentation.
