Responsibilities
Develop new production processes and adapt existing ones for assembly, calibration, and testing; Define specifications for production equipment and interact with suppliers; Participate in global new product development project teams; Collaborate on process specifications, quality aspects, and equipment continuity; Influence product designs for economical and defect-free manufacture; Develop manufacturing and testing processes to meet performance and cost requirements; Assist with setting up sample lines and process development equipment; Participate in advanced quality planning activities; Arrange functional requirements, review designs, and debug/qualify new high-volume assembly/test equipment; Transfer knowledge to make site personnel; Support improvement projects to reduce cycle time, defects, and costs; Work with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure process capability and delivery requirements; Evaluate technical capabilities including tooling design, build experience, maintenance programs, and quality control systems.
