## About the role A well-established and reputable international tax advisory and corporate services firm is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller to join their team in Nicosia. The successful candidate will oversee the internal finance function, lead the budgeting and reporting processes, and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. A strong understanding of Cyprus tax and VAT legislation, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a team, are essential. ## Responsibilities - Oversee and manage the internal accounting function, supervising one accounting assistant. - Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records for the Group. - Prepare weekly and monthly management accounts and reports. - Handle all tax and VAT statutory filings and submissions. - Monitor, evaluate, and enhance internal controls and financial processes. - Develop and monitor annual budgets and consolidated financial forecasts. - Maintain cash flow planning and cost control procedures. - Ensure full compliance with all financial regulations and statutory obligations. - Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner. - Liaise with external auditors, clients, vendors, bankers, and other stakeholders. - Support the Managing Director with various financial and strategic projects. ## Requirements - Qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA, AIA, or LCCI). - 2–4 years of experience in a similar financial control or internal finance role. - Solid knowledge of Cyprus tax and VAT regulations. - Strong organisational, analytical, and multitasking abilities. - High level of computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Fluency in both Greek and English. - Ability to meet tight deadlines and perform under pressure. ## What we offer - Competitive fixed salary between €26,000 – €35,000, based on experience and qualifications. - Performance-based bonus. - Opportunity to work with a highly experienced and respected team. - Supportive and collaborative work environment. - Exposure to international clients and a wide range of financial responsibilities.
