Impact In This Role
In this role, you’ll be using your engineering background, manufacturing process knowledge (including CNC machining, sheet metal, die-casting, rapid tooling / injection molding,3D printing, and urethane casting), Quality tools and supplier management skills to ensure the compliance to every single customer requirement through
MP selection and qualification
MP quality management system improvement
MP project review and identify & mitigate any potential risks at the beginning of order kicking off
MP process control
MP out-going inspection
IF (in full) failure Corrective Action Report
Trouble shooting any in-process questions our manufacturers may raise.
You will report to the [Feidi SQE Manager].
What You’ll Be Doing
New MP onboarding & qualification
Coordinate with Fictiv Sourcing to identify potential new MP
New MP QMS survey and assessment
New MP onboarding
Manage new MP for continuously improving to meet Fictiv OTIF goal.
Project quality assurance
Review 2D,3D requirement ,customer needs e.g. process capability, GR&R , process control requirement and other specification with MP and identify & mitigate any potential risks at the beginning of order kicking off
MP quality assurance process development
MP quality control and shipment releasing
MP quality performance management
Ensure MP IF performance meets Fictiv goal .
Regular IF performance review with MP
Drive MP Continuously improving
Customer complaint handling
Coordinate with TPM and others team member to handle customer quality complaint
Review internal processes to ensure the complaint can be prevented in the future.
Fictiv system continuously improving
Identify the opportunity for improvement of platform offering improving opportunity and contribution to improve it
Review internal process to ensure the issues can be settled in the future.
Desired Traits
Mechanical Engineer background preferred
With 10+ years quality engineer or supplier quality engineer experience and cross-functional collaboration in the CNC industry. With rich experience of :
CNC programming and CNC machining operations
CNC parts inspection (dimension, cosmetic etc.)
CNC production process control
Good experience of Corrective Action Report analysis and continuous improvement of CNC
Possess great attention to detail and also projects the big picture.
Excellent knowledge about quality tools and quality system like ISO9001
Good understanding about GD&T
Ability of problem solving
Strong ability to resolve conflicts and drive collaborative solutions.
Excellent communicator, strong sense of responsibility
Interest in creating and optimizing processes and systems
Passionate about continuously improving and learning
Work independently in the manufacturing site to ensure project success.
Willing to work under pressure
Fluent in English, experienced in liaising with US teams. Transitioned from SQE to CQE role.
Proven ability to engage with clients, address technical issues, and manage expectations.
Clear thinking and data driven decision maker
Familiar with other machining processes like injection molding, die casting, sheet metal, etc will be a plus.
