Responsibilities
Provide tactical and strategic long range scheduling expertise to machining operations; Coordinate and review input from engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and business development to support master schedules; Work across departments to understand critical work requests and mitigate schedule impact risks; Ensure MRP dates align with current production needs; Prepare daily work schedules, track progress, and communicate critical path schedules to leadership; Push/pull work into the shop to improve lead times and meet schedule needs; Utilize production planning support to eliminate internal and external blockers; Lead efforts to uncover root-cause and develop permanent resolutions for issues found during product builds; Identify and support improvement opportunities for product yield, quality, safety, cost, and team efficiency; Develop and support efforts to streamline assigned components and automate production processes; Create and leverage metrics using queries and Excel to highlight shortages and determine schedule risks.
