Perform detailed safety reviews of complex hazardous operations; lead incident investigations and corrective action development; develop and maintain compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, EPA, and other regulations; implement safety programs covering HAZCOM, hazmat, cryogenics, confined space, fall protection, and lock-out/tag-out; implement environmental programs including SPCC, SWPPP, Title V air permitting, and hazardous waste management; develop safety solutions to resolve hazards within cost and schedule constraints; monitor employee exposure to physical and chemical hazards; inspect facilities and safety equipment; develop safety contingency plans for fires and spills; perform environmental compliance and due diligence audits
