Responsibilities
Load and unload bundles from trucks using portal crane; Inspect and adjust crane mechanisms and lifting accessories; Operate crane controls (levers, pedals, dials) to move loads; Monitor logs entering debarker drum and notify chipper operator of jams; Escalate visual issues and remove eject in-feed logs with debris; Lubricate crane parts; Maintain contact with Area Mill Manager and coworkers; Perform general housekeeping (shoveling, sweeping, hosing).
