Develop and execute global commodity strategy for fasteners, consumables, and adhesives; Transform fragmented OTS categories into strategic sourcing spaces via supplier consolidation and demand aggregation; Build comprehensive category spend and SKU usage views to identify cost-saving opportunities; Partner with Engineering to rationalize parts and influence designs toward preferred components; Lead supplier consolidation initiatives to improve commercial leverage and streamline operations; Design and scale Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs with strategic suppliers; Drive total-cost savings through competitive bidding, pricing negotiations, and value engineering; Cultivate strong supplier relationships and define/track KPIs for performance; Create and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery; Identify and mitigate supply risks including late deliveries, quality issues, and obsolescence; Support cost tracking, reporting, and BOM impact analysis; Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Production to ensure supplier readiness; Support change management activities including part transitions and supplier onboarding
