Responsibilities
Characterize vehicles and derive mechanical requirements with bidirectional traceability to test evidence; plan and execute functional and performance testing (vibration, shock, thermal, environmental) on prototypes and production-intent hardware; identify and troubleshoot mechanical functionality and performance issues; partner with design, systems, quality, and software engineers to integrate mechanical V&V and Design for Test (DfT); manage compliance testing and certification adhering to ISO 26262, UL 4600, SAE J1455, ISO 16750, UL, CE, IEC, and OEM standards; coordinate with external accredited laboratories for certification; build and evolve mechanical V&V methodology, lab capability, and toolchain; document and present test results and recommendations to drive improvements.
