Responsibilities

Own antenna architecture, design, simulation, prototyping, integration, and validation for airborne and ground-based products; Develop antennas and RF structures across cellular, GNSS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ISM, telemetry, ADSB, UAT, and command-and-control bands; Translate system requirements into antenna specifications and verification plans; Perform electromagnetic simulations and optimize performance within mechanically constrained environments; Conduct antenna measurements including return loss, impedance, isolation, efficiency, gain, radiation patterns, and polarization; Plan and execute testing in anechoic chambers, outdoor ranges, and laboratory environments; Characterize antenna performance at subsystem and complete-vehicle levels; Develop antenna diversity, MIMO, isolation, coexistence, and placement strategies; Deliver antenna integration with attention to matching networks, aperture matching, connector strategy, and PCB integration; Evaluate link performance and collaborate on link budgets and interference risks; Investigate RF performance issues using simulation, lab measurements, and flight-test data; Design repeatable RF test methods and fixtures; Design unique antenna systems and RF harnessing solutions with multi-physics demands; Partner with mechanical and industrial design teams to meet aerodynamic, environmental, structural, and packaging requirements; Work with manufacturing to establish specifications, tolerances, and production controls; Support regulatory and carrier certification activities including FCC, CE, ISED, and SAR testing; Perform technical reviews, document decisions and risks, and mentor other engineers
