Responsibilities
Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle; Provide estimate and cost planning including final cost plans; Review and participate with design services and general contractor in cost estimate development; Reconcile changes and assist general contractor to ensure data accuracy; Coordinate all sources of cost information for cost discussions; Manage cost checks and carry out valuations on larger projects; Prepare funding data presentations and coordinate VE sessions; Develop cost plans and estimates through the design phase; Review contractor and subcontractor pricing and lead negotiations; Perform quantity surveying, cost controls, and change management activities; Ensure post-contract cost variances and change control processes are managed effectively; Carry out production of monthly cost reports for client presentation; Negotiate and agree upon final accounts; Compile built cost estimate records for benchmarking; Identify, coach and mentor talent; Utilize internal software to track ongoing margin levels and monthly fee/resource forecasts; Implement and maintain use of internal Business Management Systems and company delivery methodologies.
