Attaches electrode lead lines to proper body areas based on type of test ordered; Prepares skin and surroundings to ensure valid results; Obtains and documents ECG readings as directed; Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors; Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately; Identifies and corrects for artifacts; Edits and forwards results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation; Maintains ECG equipment and supplies.
