Responsibilities
Collects urine, stool, and sputum specimens; Performs laboratory tests including phlebotomy and rapid strep tests; Obtains and records vital signs; Performs 12-lead EKGs and recognizes basic arrhythmias; Irrigates wounds and applies dressings; Assists with patient ambulation and positioning; Administers simple oxygen therapy; Primes IV bags and tubing; Transports patients to radiology and laboratory; Assists with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
