Wellfield Technician
Grosvenor Mine has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Wellfield Technician to join our Technical Services/Seamgas team on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Seamgas Coordinator, the Wellfield Technician: will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of gas drainage infrastructure including SIS, UIS and goaf wells in line with the Grosvenor Mine gas drainage plan, whilst working in line with site safety, environmental and statutory legislation.
The key responsibilities of the Wellfield Technician are, but not limited to:
Focus on zero harm whilst completing:
• Operation, Inspection and maintenance of Seam Gas infrastructure.
• Monitor gas flow rates, pressures and system performance.
• Identify, troubleshoot and report equipment faults.
• Complete routine maintenance.
• Maintain accurate operational records and documentation.
• Work closely with the mining operations team. You will be a collaborative team member who actively contributes to the success of our team to safely deliver production targets and implement continuous improvement projects.
• Consistently apply Safety & Health principles in all site interactions and take full ownership for safety on site.
To be successful in the role you will have the following:
• Proven experience working in an underground coal mine, Seamgas drainage, gas wellfields, gas reticulation or similar industrial environments.
• Current Standard 11 preferred.
• Current Coal Board Medical preferred.
• Experience with SAP is also preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety, risk management and environmental compliance.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, operating procedures and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Full-time permanent position based at Grosvenor Mine, Moranbah
• 7 on, 7 off roster
