Manages purchasing activities in pre-development projects including global sourcing of new components and technologies; Analyzes and edits Bills of Material (BOMs) to ensure material cost competitiveness; Conducts global inquiries for all relevant parts across the full product lifecycle; Negotiates costs and conditions with suppliers considering Total Cost of Ownership (TCO); Develops Purchasing Concept for Customer Projects including Business Plan deliverables; Manages material cost targets and steers implementation of cost reduction opportunities; Drafts and manages project specific supplier agreements; Initiates and leads supplier sourcing events for new business awards; Ensures timely availability of critical data including System prices and prototype cost; Monitors and escalates milestone and capacity adherence for tooled components; Acts as the Strategic Purchasing interface across departments including sales, development, quality, controlling, and production.
