Responsibilities
Lead and direct duct fitters, pipe fitters, insulators, and helpers in carrying out daily construction activities; Assign daily tasks to the workforce as instructed by the Mechanical Supervisor and monitor their performance; Supervise the installation of HVAC equipment, ductwork, chilled water piping, refrigerant piping, ventilation systems, and related mechanical components; Ensure the proper use of tools, equipment, and materials at the worksite; Monitor workmanship and ensure installations meet the required quality standards; Coordinate with the Mechanical Supervisor to ensure work progresses according to the project schedule; Report daily work progress, manpower utilization, material shortages, and site issues to the Mechanical Supervisor; Ensure all personnel comply with company HSE policies, permit-to-work requirements, and safe working practices; Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE); Verify that materials issued for installation are used efficiently and report any shortages or damages; Maintain good housekeeping and ensure the work area remains clean and free from hazards; Assist in testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities as directed by the Mechanical Supervisor; Ensure punch list items assigned to the work crew are completed within the required timeframe; Immediately report safety hazards, quality concerns, and technical issues to the Mechanical Supervisor for resolution
