Responsibilities
Complete relevant stages of food testing to required quality standards and internal methods/procedures, register food samples in line with quality standards and written methods/procedures, process food samples in line with quality standards and written methods/procedures, prepare media in line with quality standards and written methods/procedures, perform reading/confirmation tests in line with quality standards and written methods/procedures, conduct media QC, IQC, and environmental monitoring in line with quality standards and written methods/procedures, adhere to documented procedures for the relevant section of the laboratory, ensure all relevant information concerning samples is recorded, handle samples correctly, maintain necessary records and quality data, ensure UK health and safety legislation is maintained, help ensure the working environment is kept clean and tidy, work with the team to drive the laboratory forward through continuous improvement, assist in operating best practice to meet UKAS accreditation standard requirements, provide a high level of internal and external customer care, comply with company rules, procedures, agreements and any notices displayed by the Company, perform any other reasonable tasks as delegated by the line manager
