Responsibilities
Establish and lead Apex's data center development business including strategy and organizational design; Originate large-scale opportunities through site identification and feasibility diligence; Lead site selection evaluating power, transmission, fiber, water, and zoning; Coordinate with real estate, engineering, construction, and legal teams; Oversee permitting strategies with local, state, and regional authorities; Develop relationships with utilities, municipalities, and economic development authorities; Drive project schedules, budgets, and risk management to notice-to-proceed; Recruit and mentor a high-performing development team; Develop internal playbooks and standards; Support commercial strategy and negotiations with customers; Prepare investment materials and board-level communications; Represent Apex at industry events and stakeholder meetings.
