Day-to-day supervision of the Water Microbiology Laboratory, planning and management of the team to achieve laboratory metrics, management of equipment and instruments, consumables and stock management, proactively work with other teams to anticipate and resolve issues, driving continuous improvement and workplace efficiency using lean principles, ensuring team members perform duties/tests to specified quality and technical standards, investigating instances of non-conformance to find root cause and implement solutions, ensuring COSHH and risk assessments are up to date, identifying, raising and investigating hazards and accidents
