Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Whether it be designing a more efficient ML pipeline, developing cutting-edge algorithms, or explaining model behavior to clients, you are up for the challenge. You are the communication bridge between infrastructure and data science, keeping both teams aligned on priorities and goals. You have a propensity for creating processes to help you and the rest of the team be more productive. You embrace new and unfamiliar responsibilities. ## Onboarding Timeline - **Day 5** - Learn about Viaduct's history and mission - Get to know every team member - Set up your development environment - Understand Viaduct's ML pipeline and identify opportunities for improvement - Deep dive into the nuances of vehicle data and current modeling techniques - Attend our weekly ML lunch - **Day 30** - Improve Viaduct's existing ML pipeline - Start planning for Viaduct's future modeling needs - Collaborate with engineers on system and tooling improvements - Deploy models to production - Present your work at our weekly ML lunch - **Day 90** - Be a leader on the machine learning team - Build new products at the forefront of machine learning - Simplify patterns for promoting a model to production - Present your models and relevant metrics to clients ## Expected Skills - Able to communicate complex ideas from ML research papers - 6+ years in software development - 4a+ years working with production ML pipelines and large-scale data processing tools (Spark, Hadoop, Airflow, etc) - Extensive Python experience (TensorFlow, CVXPY, PyTorch) - Experience as a tech lead and mentor - Familiar with the requirements of real-time inference - Masters or PhD preferred ## Why Viaduct - Work with established experts in deep learning, time-series analytics, and convex optimization - Endless opportunities for technical learning and personal growth - Full health, vision, and dental benefits If the challenge of helping automakers create a future of safe, reliable, and personalized vehicles excites you, please reach out at [email protected]!
