Responsibilities
Own company-wide driver and workplace safety programs, policies, training, audits, and risk-reduction initiatives; Lead the workers' compensation and employee injury process including claims oversight and return-to-work programs; Oversee workplace injuries, vehicle accidents, and safety incidents; Ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and other federal, state, and local workplace safety requirements; Administer pre-employment and ongoing background check and drug and alcohol screening programs; Partner with Operations to identify driver safety trends and reduce preventable accidents; Manage relationships and performance for risk-related vendors; Lead safety, screening, and risk compliance readiness for new operating locations; Monitor key safety and risk indicators and provide leadership reporting on trends and improvement opportunities.
