Responsibilities
Research, design, implement, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise infrastructure across Linux, UNIX, Windows, virtualization, storage, and container platforms. Respond to system management alerts, operational events, and production incidents to ensure timely resolution and system availability. Support triage, incident response, change management, and problem management processes. Diagnose application, operating system, infrastructure, and performance issues using system management, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools. Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain operating systems, infrastructure software, and enterprise applications. Administer VMware virtual machine environments and support migration initiatives to OpenStack. Build, administer, and maintain on-premises OpenShift clusters supporting containerized applications. Perform operating system patching and vulnerability remediation for Linux and Microsoft Windows servers. Develop and maintain scripts to automate routine operational tasks, system administration activities, and workload processing. Analyze system performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements that enhance reliability, security, scalability, and operational efficiency. Partner with development, infrastructure, security, database, support teams, and vendors to coordinate deployments, resolve issues, and support production operations. Refine system monitoring, alerting, and reporting to improve incident detection, recovery, and operational visibility. Ensure timely creation, execution, documentation, implementation, and closure of incidents, changes, service requests, and operational tasks. Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge articles. Participate in on-call support, scheduled maintenance, and production support activities as required.
