## Responsibilities
- Conduct patient consultations, examinations, and medical history assessments to diagnose and manage a broad range of health conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic investigations, including pathology tests, imaging, X-rays, and other procedures.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, prescribe medications, administer therapeutic interventions, and provide ongoing patient care.
- Monitor patients' progress and response to treatment, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
- Provide preventative healthcare advice, including lifestyle, diet, exercise, and disease prevention guidance.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with professional, legal, and practice requirements.
- Refer patients to specialists and other healthcare providers where appropriate, and exchange relevant medical information to ensure coordinated care.
- Arrange hospital admissions and follow-up care when required.
- Comply with professional, legislative, and public health obligations, including reporting notifiable diseases and other required notifications.
- Participate in continuing professional development, clinical audits, accreditation activities, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with other GPs, nurses, administrative staff, hospitals, and community healthcare providers.
- Deliver services in a respectful, culturally sensitive, and professional manner while maintaining strict patient confidentiality.
## Requirements
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner (International Medical Graduates are acceptable)
- Proven experience working as a General Practitioner (or equivalent)
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills.
- Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centred care.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and a multicultural healthcare environment.
