This position plays a key part in translating business and client needs into robust, scalable, and secure applications while contributing to the ongoing reliability and innovation that underpin Team IT’s reputation for excellence. Working in a collaborative team environment, the Software Engineer will help deliver custom web and software solutions, optimise internal tools and processes, and ensure systems remain stable, performant, and aligned with the company’s high standards for security and client service. ## Key Responsibilities - Gather and analyse business requirements and user feedback to create clear technical specifications, system architectures, and prototypes that evaluate feasibility before development begins. - Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient code for front-end, back-end, or full-stack applications, following modern development practices and team standards. - Perform thorough code reviews to maintain quality, security, consistency, and knowledge sharing across the development team. - Integrate software components, APIs, and third-party services to ensure seamless functionality across systems and platforms. - Conduct systematic debugging, write and execute automated and manual tests (including unit tests), and implement upgrades or patches to improve performance, stability, scalability, and security. - Produce comprehensive technical documentation, user guides, and system drawings to support knowledge sharing, maintenance, and future development. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals and technical requirements. ## Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - 3+ years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of delivering scalable and secure applications. - Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, etc.). - Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, version control systems (e.g., Git), and agile methodologies. - Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and DevOps practices. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. ## Nice to Have - Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js). - Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and data protection standards. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing tools. - Knowledge of digital marketing and web design principles. - Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and cloud migration strategies. ## Benefits - Competitive salary range of $95,000 – $110,000 p/a. - Opportunities for professional growth and development. - Collaborative and supportive work environment. - Access to cutting-edge technology and tools. - Strong emphasis on quality, innovation, and continuous improvement. - Client-focused culture with a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
