## Job Title Azure Engineer ## Location Leeds (Hybrid) ## Description A leading organisation is looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to play a key role in designing, building, and evolving its cloud environment. The Role This is a hands-on position focused on establishing and maturing a secure, scalable Azure platform. You'll take ownership of cloud architecture, governance, and operational excellence, while supporting wider transformation initiatives. You'll also contribute to cloud migrations, DevOps adoption, and infrastructure automation, working closely with a small internal team. ## Responsibilities - Design and implement Azure landing zones aligned to best practice - Define and manage governance frameworks (RBAC, policies, cost control) - Deliver Azure migrations (VMware to Azure and tenant consolidation) - Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) - Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling (Azure DevOps / GitHub) - Optimise performance, cost, security, and reliability of workloads - Act as a senior escalation point for complex cloud issues ## Requirements - Strong hands-on Azure architecture & engineering experience - Experience designing landing zones and governance frameworks - Proven track record delivering cloud migration projects - Strong knowledge of Azure networking, security, and identity - Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates) - Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines - Scripting experience (PowerShell and/or Python) ## Nice to Have - N/A ## Benefits - Opportunity to shape and influence a growing Azure estate - Varied role across architecture, engineering, and DevOps - Collaborative environment within a small, high-impact IT team - Strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement If this sounds like yourself or someone you may know then please get in touch below!
