Responsibilities
Lead preparation, review, and signing of complex U.S. individual, fiduciary, gift, and estate tax returns; Manage portfolio of HNI, domestic, and global mobility clients ensuring timely and accurate delivery; Review complex tax returns involving multi-state taxation, trusts, estates, K-1 reporting, foreign financial assets, international information reporting, PFICs, equity compensation, executive compensation, and cross-border tax considerations; Provide technical guidance on individual, trust, gift, and estate tax matters including wealth transfer planning; Serve as primary escalation point for complex tax technical issues and engagement-related risks; Manage end-to-end tax compliance lifecycle from engagement acceptance to post-filing support; Partner with U.S. advisors, engagement teams, and clients to resolve technical issues and manage expectations; Monitor engagement budgets, productivity, turnaround times, and quality metrics; Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international tax regulations, firm policies, data privacy requirements, and quality control standards; Identify opportunities to improve processes, leverage technology and automation, and enhance overall service delivery; Lead, coach, and mentor tax professionals fostering technical excellence, accountability, and continuous learning; Support practice development initiatives, knowledge-sharing efforts, and expansion of HNI, trust, estate, gift tax, and mobility-related service offerings
