Responsibilities
Architectural down-selection, design, and tolerancing of turbopumps; Conduct pump- and mechanism-specific analyses (rotor dynamics, bearings, seals, hydraulic, structural, thermal-fluid); Develop environmental test and qualification plans; Create ground- and in-flight performance validation plans; Manage supply chain and high-volume manufacturing trades; Partner with thermal and architecture teams to scope pumped-fluid-loop roadmaps; Collaborate with cross-functional teams on operations and requirements; Prepare design reviews; Own program deliverables and schedules; Evaluate and select manufacturing equipment for specialty processes; Develop work instructions and end-of-line tests
