Responsibilities
Own solid rocket motor integration processes (receipt, inspection, mating, alignment, torque, close-out); Own divert/attitude control system and thruster installation (mounting, alignment, plumbing, leak verification); Own pressurant and fluid system build/installation (tanks, lines, fittings, valves, proof/leak testing, cleanliness); Own ordnance installation (initiators, pyrotechnic systems, flight termination) including safe-and-arm handling; Partner with Explosive Engineering on hazard classification and safety controls; Author/maintain work instructions, travelers, as-built records; Drive Design for Manufacturability and Assembly; Specify and qualify handling equipment and tooling; Serve as technical interface to propulsion suppliers; Act as owner of Manufacturing Development Process and mentor team
