Responsibilities
Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) and define part application; Gather information on supplier components and technological advancements to optimize designs; Use analytical tools to assess designs for power, grounding, circuit protection, EMC, signal integrity, and thermal management; Perform design trade-offs for robust, manufacturable concepts; Create, review, and release vehicle components, schematics, and harness assemblies using ECAD tools; Support designs throughout the lifecycle including development, production launch, and field support; Provide technical input for test plans (DVP&R) and technical publications; Collaborate with cross-functional partners (mechanical, controls, manufacturing) to iterate designs; Propose solutions to senior engineers or management for evaluation.
