Responsibilities
Own and manage mechanical commodities/subcategories to execute supplier production strategies from NPI to full production; Vet supplier production capabilities, facilities, and workforce for inclusion in Approved Supplier List; Support Supplier Quality Engineers in ensuring adherence to part quality criteria; Own manufacturing process development and initialization of new production lines & tooling at supplier sites; Drive capacity expansion, manufacturing readiness, and production ramp-up at suppliers; Establish and drive performance via statistical process control (SPC) reviews; Identify and drive product and process improvements to lower cost and reduce supply risk; Support root cause task forces and close the loop on corrective/preventative actions
