Responsibilities
Develop and qualify manufacturing processes for solar module interconnects, bonding, sintering, lamination, deposition, coating, and surface treatment; Design and execute structured DOE and statistical analyses to diagnose manufacturing problems; Lead failure analysis, defect characterization, and root cause investigations for process anomalies; Establish and drive corrective action plans back into design requirements and production; Own the evaluation, cost/benefit analysis, and selection of manufacturing equipment; Collaborate with production teams to develop process specifications, work instructions, and end-of-line tests; Define qualification criteria and test envelopes for radiation, thermal, mechanical, and plasma environments; Mentor junior engineers on process engineering fundamentals and solar array manufacturing best practices
