Own company-wide driver and workplace safety programs, policies, training, audits, and risk-reduction initiatives; Lead workers' compensation and employee injury processes including claims oversight and return-to-work programs; Oversee workplace injuries, vehicle accidents, and safety incidents; Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local workplace safety requirements; Manage pre-employment and ongoing background check and drug/alcohol screening programs; Partner with Operations to identify driver safety trends and reduce accidents; Manage relationships and performance for risk-related vendors; Lead safety readiness for new operating locations; Monitor key safety indicators and provide leadership reporting
