Responsibilities
Serve as SME for DCMA 8210-1D instruction and contract requirements; Monitor and implement changes to Flight and Ground Operations Procedures; Lead internal readiness reviews and DCMA audits; Develop and manage Safety Management System (SMS) and operational standards programs; Maintain safety policies, SOPs, and checklists; Establish standardized approaches for creating and publishing procedures and manuals; Serve as liaison to Government Flight/Ground Representatives and DCMA Contract Safety Representatives; Serve as Aviation Safety Officer (ASO) for flight operations; Lead Safety Councils for continuous improvement; Conduct safety investigations into ground and flight test-related incidents; Review incidents, track derivative issues, and ensure closure with corrective actions; Maintain the Mishap Response Plan (MRP); Track statistical data for trend analysis.
