Deep dive into engineering Bill of Material (BOM) to ensure parts can be sourced at target levels; Conduct supplier selection and onboard unique vendors; Drive on-time delivery using unique solutions to break traditional lead-times; Partner with strategic suppliers for concept scoping, feature trade-offs, should-cost models, and joint design development; Drive development and consolidation of manufacturing BOM; Manage total cost of program including NPI and mass production; Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network; Complete BOM risk assessment and alternate component sourcing; Ensure completion of component qualifications; Reduce complexity through commonality optimization; Lead cost engineering activities to converge cost curve; Manage ad-hoc cost issues like tariffs and inflation; Manage supply issues to ensure on-time delivery at target cost
