Responsibilities
Manage purchasing of direct materials to support production requirements and long-term supply continuity. Create, issue, confirm, reschedule, and cancel purchase orders aligned with business priorities. Lead supplier performance management to ensure material availability and delivery reliability. Proactively identify and mitigate supply risks through contingency planning. Serve as primary lead for product transfers, manufacturing ramp-ups, and new product introductions. Resolve complex supplier invoice discrepancies and supply-related escalations. Analyze supplier performance metrics and develop corrective action plans. Lead material expediting efforts and coordinate recovery plans for critical shortages. Develop and optimize supply flexibility programs including safety stock and VMI. Mentor junior purchasing team members. Support sourcing and supplier development initiatives including capacity planning.
