We are seeking a highly technical and hands-on QA & Stability Technical Lead to join a high-profile Global Markets programme responsible for a mission-critical workflow and task management platform. The system processes 8–9 million emails per month, supports hundreds of concurrent users, and is being modernised to scale to thousands of users whilst incorporating AI-driven classification and workflow automation. This role is ideal for someone who remains deeply involved in automation engineering and non-functional testing whilst providing technical leadership across quality, stability, performance, and release assurance. We recruit professionals who are eager to fast-track their careers in technology or operations within prestigious global organizations. ## Key Responsibilities - Lead the QA and Stability workstream whilst remaining actively involved in day-to-day testing activities. - Design, build and maintain automated test frameworks and regression suites using modern automation tooling. - Develop and execute automated functional, integration, API, end-to-end and regression tests. - Own performance, load, stress, volume and latency testing activities for a high-throughput platform processing millions of emails each month. - Build realistic test scenarios and datasets that accurately reflect production workloads and user behaviour. - Set up, configure and manage QA, UAT and performance testing environments. - Define and implement quality gates across CI/CD pipelines. - Execute hands-on testing of AI-powered classification and workflow automation capabilities. - Perform root cause analysis of complex defects, performance bottlenecks and stability issues. - Work closely with Java Developers, DevOps Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality and stability across the platform. ## Requirements - Must be local to Chester or Bromley. - Proven experience as a QA Automation Lead or similar role. - Strong technical background in automation engineering and non-functional testing. - Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines. - Expertise in performance, load, stress, volume, and latency testing. - Experience with AI-driven classification and workflow automation testing. - Strong leadership and communication skills to guide teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders. - Ability to design and maintain robust test environments and datasets. - Experience with Java and related technologies. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis. ## Nice to Have - Experience with financial services or investment banking. - Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools. - Knowledge of data science and machine learning concepts. - Experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies. - Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies. ## Benefits - Opportunity to work on high-impact, mission-critical technology projects. - Collaborate with leading experts in the financial services industry. - Access to global opportunities and career advancement within a prestigious consultancy. - Work on cutting-edge technologies including AI and automation. - Support for professional development and career growth.
