## About the role As the Platform Engineer Team Lead, you will work alongside the department's Manager in coordinating the team's daily operations while actively contributing to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of platform infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation processes. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, offering the opportunity to mentor team members, drive operational excellence, and help shape scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native environments. If you are passionate about DevOps culture, cloud technologies, automation, and leading by example in a collaborative environment, we'd like to hear from you! ## Responsibilities - Develop and execute action plans to achieve agreed goals and performance indicators - Recommend and actively promote improvements to DevOps practices, automation patterns, and tooling - Identify automation opportunities and drive implementation initiatives within the Platform Engineering team - Monitor and suggest improvements to the existing CI/CD process to increase speed, safety, and reliability - Coordinate implementation activities within the team and assist in cross-team collaboration when required - Develop, maintain, and enhance existing GitLab CI pipeline libraries - Assist developers with setting up CI/CD for their projects and provide support for any issues that may arise - Stay up to date with the latest tools and trends in the industry and share relevant insights with the wider team - Ensure adherence to best practices across Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes environments and support continuous improvement initiatives - Support knowledge-sharing sessions and educate Application Development Teams on platform standards, tools, and best practices - Work closely with the Security team to remediate vulnerabilities and ensure platform compliance with security standards - Set personal targets for team members and monitor performance - Provide regular feedback, coaching, mentoring, and development support to team members - Encourage collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team - Help maintain a motivated, engaged, and high-performing team environment ## Requirements - BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline - 7+ years' experience within the following areas: Cloud (AWS), Release Pipeline Management, Windows Server Administration, Linux Administration, Certificate Management, PowerShell scripting, Bash/python scripting, Configuration Management and IAC (Ansible/Terraform), DNS, Networking - Enterprise-level Kubernetes experience - Solid Linux administration skills - Strong leadership, mentoring, and people management skills - Commitment to continuous improvement, with a focus on observability, modern application architecture styles, blue-green/canary deployments, and CI/CD pipeline management - Ability to self-motivate, study, and stay on top of emerging technologies and trends
