## About the role
We are looking for a highly skilled Piano Arranger & Recording Producer to join the Tomplay music production team. In this role, you will create high-quality piano arrangements across a wide repertoire — including pop, rock, classical and film music — at several carefully defined difficulty levels. You will then record and mix them into the two formats that power the Tomplay experience: a piano-solo version and a piano + accompaniment version built on the audio covers we provide.
This is a hands-on, end-to-end role: you arrange in Sibelius, you play and record the piano parts yourself, and deliver clean, synchronized and proofread audio. We are therefore looking for an outstanding musician with strong pianistic skills, a deep understanding of the needs of musicians at all levels, and solid audio editing and mixing experience.
You will be joining Tomplay's music production team and your main responsibilities will include:
## Responsibilities
### Arranging
- Arrange pop, rock, classical and film music pieces for piano, including fingering annotations, in accordance with Tomplay's arranging guidelines.
- Produce arrangements across several difficulty levels (from Absolute Beginner to Upper Advanced Level), respecting the precise level specifications and conventions defined by Tomplay.
- Adapt each arrangement so it is idiomatic, pedagogically sound, and, at the higher levels, musically faithful to the original work.
### Recording & production
- Once an arrangement has been validated by Tomplay, record it on piano and produce two deliverables for each level:
- a piano-solo recording, with the left and right hands recorded separately, and
- a piano + cover recording and mix, combining your piano performance with the audio cover (orchestra / band accompaniment) supplied by Tomplay.
- Mix, equalize and master your recordings to a clean, release-ready quality across all genres (pop/rock, blues, jazz, classical, film).
- Synchronize all audio parts accurately so that the piano and the accompaniment align perfectly with the on-screen score.
- Edit and clean audio (cutting, timing, noise reduction, sound enhancement) using tools such as Audacity, and verify timing/pitch with an audio-visualization tool such as Sonic Visualiser.
### Quality & delivery
- Proofread both music scores and audio projects for accuracy and quality, delivering error-free deliverables.
- Deliver sheet music in .SIB and .PDF formats, and all audio files — including separate-hands stems and the final mixes — in .WAV and MIDI formats.
## Requirements
### Musical & pianistic skills
- Outstanding musicianship and strong, professional-level piano skills.
- Solid experience arranging music for piano across multiple genres and difficulty levels.
- A deep understanding of the needs of musicians at all levels; ideally, you teach or have taught piano to students of varying abilities.
### Technical Skills
- Strong piano recording skills and access to a high-quality recording setup and a good piano library.
- Solid knowledge of audio editing and audio visualization software (e.g. Audacity, Sonic Visualiser, etc.).
- Experience mixing across various genres, including pop, rock, blues, jazz, and classical music.
- Meticulous and detail-oriented, capable of delivering error-free work.
### Knowledge and interest in the use of AI related to creating music
- You are familiar with different programs related to AI (Suno Studio, Udio, Gaudio, etc).
- You have some experience in creating audios with these programs. If not, you are motivated to educate yourself on those and work with them on some specific projects.
### Other Requirements
- Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Access to a reliable internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free workspace.
