Senior Full Stack Developer (LatAm) - RoR/React

## About the role Location: fully remote from Latam Engagement: Full-time 9am-5pm EST working hours We are looking for a Lead/Senior Full Stack Engineer to help to build, maintain, and scale its Ruby on Rails backend services, APIs, integrations, and React-based frontend features. This is a backend-heavy full stack role: approximately 70% backend and 30% frontend. The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years of software engineering experience, strong Ruby on Rails expertise, solid React skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment. ## Responsibilities - Develop and maintain backend services using Ruby on Rails. - Build and improve frontend features using React. - Support third-party integrations, including payment and e-commerce platforms. - Troubleshoot backend, database, frontend, and integration issues. - Collaborate with QA on testing and release validation. - Participate in technical planning, architecture discussions, code reviews, and audits. - Improve systems through refactoring, upgrades, and performance optimization. - Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, testing, debugging, and documentation. ## Requirements - 5–7+ years of software engineering experience. - Strong experience with Ruby on Rails. - Solid experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. - Strong SQL and relational database fundamentals. - Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations like Stripe API and Shopify API. - Experience with automated testing or TDD practices. - Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Understanding of web application performance and security best practices. - Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar. - Excellent communication, self-organization, and remote collaboration skills. ## Who You Are - You move fast and take ownership - You don't wait for perfect specs — you figure things out - You're comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities - You care about product impact, not just code - You communicate clearly and don't disappear ## Benefits - 100% remote - Salary in USD - PTO (vacation, sick leave, holidays) - Learning budget (Udemy, etc.) - $200 WFH setup support
