Backed by industry experts and angel investors, we've raised our seed round and are growing fast, now hopefully with you. ## About the role As our first Product Designer, you'll own UX and UI across the entire Joy_ experience. From the HR manager setting up the next employee birthday, to the recipient opening their gift on the actual day, you decide how every step looks, feels, and works. You'll shape Joy_ across: - The HR-facing Joy_ Portal: dashboards, configuration flows, occasion management, automation rules - Recipient experiences: gift redemption, personalization, card flows, the moment of joy - Marketing & brand: landing pages, campaigns, storytelling that captures what makes Joy_ different - Product infrastructure: expanding and maintaining the design system that keeps everything cohesive In short: you'll own the design DNA of Joy_, making sure every pixel, flow, and interaction feels effortless and enchanting. ## Responsibilities - Own UX and UI end-to-end, from wireframes and user flows to high-fidelity UI and interactive prototypes - Talk to customers and gift recipients directly, run user research, watch them click, and turn that into features that move the needle - Expand and maintain our existing design system: components, tokens, patterns, the works - Collaborate cross-functionally with founders, engineers, and the commercial team on every customer-facing decision - Ship pragmatically: a scrappy mockup tested today beats a perfect pixel in three weeks - Use AI tools (Figma AI, v0, Lovable, Cursor, Midjourney) as part of your default workflow to ship twice as much in half the time - Balance beauty with usability: design interfaces that are not just stunning but intuitive, accessible, and conversion-optimized ## Requirements - 4 to 6 years of professional experience in product design, ideally in SaaS or B2B environments - Figma mastery: components, variants, auto layout, tokens, the full stack - You think like a PM: your first question is 'why are we even building this' before pushing pixels - AI native: you see AI as a tool to amplify yourself, not a threat - German fluency at native or C2 level (our product is in German, our customers are German-speaking) - Strong UI design skills: an exceptional eye for typography, color, layout, spacing, and visual hierarchy - Portfolio that shows range, from B2B dashboards to delight-driven consumer flows - You want this: the first design hire, full ownership, real customer contact, a small team that ships every day ## Nice to have - Experience designing for HR-tech, e-commerce, payments, or gifting products - Familiarity with HTML/CSS (you don't need to code, but understanding constraints helps) - Motion design or micro-interaction skills - Illustration or iconography capabilities - Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) - Exposure to brand design or marketing assets ## What we offer - Design ownership from day one.
