Founding Front-End Engineer

## About the role Youth sports run on a massive, messy, and informal system. Right now, coaches are collecting thousands of dollars in personal accounts, juggling fragmented group chats, and tracking logistics on manual spreadsheets. This creates significant friction, poor transparency, and escalating tax risks—especially with recent 1099-K reporting changes. We are building LeagueLine: a platform that replaces this chaos with a compliant, centralized system for team finances and logistics. Our goal is to make running a sports team as effortless as using a modern fintech app. ## Where We Are Today - Solid Foundation: The backend infrastructure is built, functional, and ready to consume (APIs, database, core payment flows). - Market Traction: We are actively in early conversations and securing LOIs with youth sports organizations. - The Missing Piece: We need a Founding Frontend Engineer to take our working backend and translate it into a polished, market-ready product. ## What You Will Own As a founding team member, you will lead all frontend development, make core architectural decisions, and shape the user experience from end-to-end. ### Mobile App (React Native) - AI Chatbot (TeamMom) - Building a fast, intuitive application for parents and coaches. - Implement seamless flows for payments, messaging, and team interactions. - Focus ruthlessly on zero-friction onboarding and usability. ### Web Dashboard (React) - Develop a comprehensive admin dashboard for league directors. - Build interfaces for clear financial visibility, team management, and automated reporting. ## Who You Are - Technically Proficient: You have strong, production-level experience with React and/or React Native. - Product-Minded: You value simplicity, intuitive UX, and solving real user problems over complex over-engineering. - Autonomous: You are comfortable owning a product from its earliest stage through production deployment. - Execution-Oriented: You prefer building, iterating, and shipping rapidly over navigating process-heavy environments. ## The Reality & The Upside This is a true founding role. We are currently bootstrapped, meaning there is no salary at this stage. You must be comfortable trading short-term cash for long-term upside and significant ownership. - We have traction with real sports leagues right now we need someone hungry willinging to work with an open minded team your expertise would be welcomed and core to what we are trying to acheive. - Equity: 5–7% (commensurate with experience and scope). - Vesting: Standard 4-year schedule with a 1-year cliff. - Impact: You will have total influence on the frontend architecture, product direction, and early engineering culture. - Market: You are entering a massive, deeply underserved market with a clear, immediate pain point.
