Our team is agile, collaborative, and passionate about technology, and we're looking for strong engineering leaders who thrive in a high-ownership environment. ## Job Summary We are looking for a highly experienced Principal Software Engineer with 10+ years of hands-on backend engineering experience in Python ecosystems. This is a pure IC (Individual Contributor) role focused on architecture, hands-on coding, scalability, and building next-generation AI-powered systems. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in Python, Django, FastAPI, distributed backend systems, and Agentic AI/LLM-based application development. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to design, develop, and scale intelligent healthcare solutions. ## Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and scale high-performance backend systems using Python, Django, and FastAPI. - Build secure, scalable, and production-grade RESTful APIs and microservices. - Lead architecture decisions and implement complex technical solutions. - Develop AI-powered applications leveraging Agentic AI, LLMs, RAG pipelines, and orchestration frameworks. - Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and testable production-quality code. - Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and security. - Mentor engineering teams through technical leadership and best coding practices. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile development environment. - Drive innovation and evaluate emerging AI technologies/frameworks. - Participate in code reviews, debugging, and system design discussions. ## Required Skills - 10+ years of software development experience. - Strong hands-on coding expertise in Python. - Deep expertise in Django and FastAPI. - Experience building scalable backend architectures and REST APIs. - Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture. - Hands-on experience with Agentic AI, Generative AI, LLM applications, RAG pipelines, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar frameworks. - Strong understanding of AI orchestration and prompt engineering concepts. - Expertise with PostgreSQL/MySQL and database optimization. - Strong knowledge of Django ORM, SQL queries, and performance tuning. - Experience with cloud platforms and deployment practices. - Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Deep understanding of system design, design patterns, data structures, and OOP concepts. - Familiarity with Linux environments and DevOps fundamentals. ## Preferred Qualifications - Experience in US Healthcare domain, EHR/EMR, HL7, or FHIR integrations is a plus. - Experience working in high-scale SaaS product companies. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to work independently in a remote environment. ## Candidate Requirements - Own laptop/system (minimum 8GB RAM and i5 processor or above) - Stable internet connectivity/Wi-Fi - Power backup during outages
