Senior Full Stack Engineer (Fintech & Payments)

## About the Role We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer who can take ownership of product development from architecture and system design to deployment and production support. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building complex systems, solving challenging engineering problems, and taking products from concept to scale. You will work across backend, frontend, databases, cloud infrastructure, payments, and system architecture while ensuring reliability, security, and performance. ## What You'll Be Responsible For ### Payments & Transaction Systems - Integrate and manage payment gateways such as Razorpay, Cashfree, Stripe, and other providers. - Design payment processing workflows and transaction lifecycles. - Build secure webhook handling systems. - Develop payment reconciliation and settlement workflows. - Design transaction monitoring and reporting systems. - Implement refund, reversal, and failure-handling mechanisms. - Build highly reliable financial transaction processing systems. ### Backend Development - Design and build scalable APIs using Node.js and TypeScript. - Develop authentication and authorization systems. - Build transaction processing services. - Design database schemas and financial data models. - Implement audit logging and activity tracking. - Develop background processing systems and job queues. - Optimize application performance and reliability. ### Architecture & System Design - Design scalable system architecture. - Model high-volume transaction systems. - Build event-driven and distributed systems. - Improve performance, scalability, and fault tolerance. - Design caching and data-access strategies. - Plan infrastructure growth and scaling. ## Required Technical Skills ### Backend - Node.js - TypeScript - Express.js or NestJS - REST APIs - JWT Authentication - Webhook Processing - API Security Best Practices ### Frontend - Dart / Flutter - JavaScript / TypeScript - State Management - API Integration ### Database - PostgreSQL - Query Optimization - Indexing Strategies - Database Design - Transactions and Concurrency Handling - Data Modeling ### Caching & Queues - Redis - Queue Processing - Background Jobs - Caching Strategies - Rate Limiting ### Cloud & Infrastructure - AWS - EC2 - S3 - CloudFront - Docker - Linux - Nginx - PM2 ### System Design - Microservices - Event-Driven Architecture - High Availability Systems - Distributed Systems - Scalability Planning - Performance Optimization ## Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in any of the following will be highly preferred: - Payment Gateway Integrations - Razorpay - Cashfree - UPI Payment Systems - Wallet Infrastructure - Financial Transaction Systems - Ledger Systems - Reconciliation Engines - Banking APIs - Fintech Products - Wealth-Tech Platforms - High-Volume Transaction Systems ## What We're Looking For You should be able to: - Take ownership of features from idea to production. - Work independently with minimal supervision. - Design scalable architectures. - Solve production issues quickly and efficiently. - Make sound engineering decisions. - Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. - Build systems that are reliable, secure, and scalable. ## Nice to Have - Flutter - Kafka or RabbitMQ - Infrastructure as Code - Financial Reporting Systems - Security and Compliance Experience If you enjoy building fintech-grade systems and solving complex engineering challenges, we'd love to hear from you.
