## About the Role Luma Health, rebranding to Afterward, is a telehealth platform for longevity and hormone optimization, with members across 40+ states on a membership model. Our main focus is on Peptides. We're small and moving fast, and we're looking for a builder to own real product from day one. This is a 3 month sprint to try and find a CTO with a real future attached: full-time for 3 months with cash stipend, and for the right person it converts into a CTO / cofounder equity role in the fall. If you want to be early at something and grow into running its technology, this is that shot. ## What You'd Own - Our patient/admin portal — the member-facing app for protocols, labs, visit history, messaging, and billing, etc. We have this roughly built but needs an overhaul. - Patient automations — intake, follow-ups, reminders, and clinical ops workflows that let us scale - AI / "digital twin" buildout — early work on patient digital-twin modeling and AI-assisted clinical and ops tooling You'll report directly to the founder, ship things members and staff use immediately, and have a real say in the stack and architecture. ## You Might Be a Fit If - You are studying or have studied CS/software engineering (or can build like you are) - You have actually shipped and deployed something with real users — we care about this way more than your GPA - You are comfortable across a modern web stack (React/TypeScript or similar) - You are genuinely curious about applied AI — LLMs, automations, agentic workflows — and know the difference between a demo and production - You are careful around sensitive data (we'll train you on handling protected health information) ## Bonus Points - Healthcare, HIPAA, or regulated-data exposure - Automation / workflow orchestration / LLM API experience - Stripe or similar payments ## How We Work The security and data-architecture guardrails are set by leadership — you build great things within them, and we teach you why they exist. Real ownership, direct founder access, and a summer that's effectively the audition for a much bigger role. ## Application Instructions Tell us about something you've built and shipped (link it if you can) and what you'd most want to work on.
