## About the Role PhrasIQ is building the intelligence layer for enterprise finance. Our platform — InsightOS — gives finance teams AI-powered forecasting, decision support, and reporting that is fully auditable and traceable. We're a small founding team that moves with the speed and rigor of people who know exactly what they're building and why. Every person here has a direct line to the product, the architecture, and the decisions that shape both. We're looking for a Software Engineer Intern to work directly with the founding team on real product problems — not tickets, not documentation, not support tooling. You'll build features that enterprise users will touch, work across a codebase that takes system design seriously, and be expected to think, not just execute. This is an unpaid internship. What it offers instead: genuine ownership, close mentorship, and a direct path to a full-time role based on performance, learning outcomes, and culture fit. We're not looking for someone to fill a seat — we're looking for someone who wants to grow into a founding engineer. This isn't a summer project. Over 6 months, you'll go deep enough to own a surface area of the product end-to-end. In this role, you will: - Build and ship features across the InsightOS interface and API layer - Work on how financial data is structured, surfaced, and explained to enterprise users - Collaborate directly with the founding team across product, design, and architecture decisions - Treat unclear requirements as product problems — and propose solutions, not just questions ## Your background looks something like: - Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field - Some hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, or Python — we don't need all three - Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar) - Genuine curiosity about AI, fintech, or developer tooling - Comfortable in environments where things are loosely defined and you're expected to bring structure ## About PhrasIQ PhrasIQ is an agentic finance and decision intelligence platform.
